The Gadodamasun Jama’are, Alhaji Salleh Malla, who disclosed the development, said the deceased died in the early hours of Sunday after a prolonged illness that kept him away from the public view.
The Emir who reigned 50 years on the throne, left behind two wives and 35 children.
The Bauchi State Government is expected to announce the details of the burial arrangement.
