“Crazy Tings” singer Temilade Openiyi (Tems) is credited on track 10, “Move”, off Renaissance

Nigeria’s own Tems has been credited as a songwriter on Beyonce’s forthcoming album “Renaissance.”

Nigerian superstar, Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, continues to ink her name within the halls of fame, with her meteoric rise within the music industry. The RnB chanteuse blessed the much-anticipated Beyonce record, Renaissance, with her vocals on the femme-empowering song dubbed, Move.

With Tems, everything no longer feels like a surprise. From midwifing one of the most popular songs in the world, Essence, to breaking chart records, such as becoming Billboard’s first African female No. 1 artiste, to performing at renowned stages such as Glastonbury, 02 Arena, among others, down to earning Grammy nods and a BET win, Tems has been on a roll, and at a very unprecedented speed, too.

The singer, during her recent performance, in London, revealed how she and her mother laboured before her big break in the industry.

She narrated how her mother allowed her to chase her dreams, in the middle of their turmoil, supporting her through her formal resignation at her job and her decision to take on music full time.
