Rihanna declared a national hero at Barbados
Musician and business mogul, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, better known as Rihanna has been declared a national hero at Barbados during it’s republican celebrations in Bridgetown.
Pesident-elect Dame Sandra Mason is set to become head of state after the country announced last year it would abolish its ties to the monarchy.
Rihanna attended the declaration of the republic and inauguration ceremony for Mason in her hometown of Bridgetown on Tuesday, November 30.
The honour of National Hero of Barbados was bestowed on her by prime minister, Mia Mottley.
