The husband to Queen Elizabeth is dead after battling some infection.
Prince Philip, a leading figure and individual in the British royal family has died at 99 years old.
The Duke of Edinburgh, as he was known while he was alive, has always been a supporter to his wife throughout her 69-year reign which is the longest in British history.
During his days with the Queen, he was known to be tough, one that has a no-nonsense attitude and a propensity for occasional gaffes.
It could be recalled the Philip spent four weeks at the hospital earlier this year for treatment of an infection and a heart problem, but he earlier returned to Windsor in March.
Philip is said to be celebrating his 100th birthday in the next two months, but he’s dead.
