(LASDRI) has organised specialized training for professional drivers in the Lagos State Public Service Office.

In its quest to ensure that sanity and professionalism are sustained in the driving profession and among drivers in Lagos State, the Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI) has organised specialized training for professional drivers in the Lagos State Public Service Office.

Welcoming the participants to the training held at LASDRI headquarters, Oshodi, the General Manager of the Institute, stated that to sustain safety, good work ethics and professionalism among drivers.

Drivers are very important to the development of the Lagos economy and, therefore, must be up-to-date about the traffic laws and regulations that govern the transportation sector in the State.

Soliciting the cooperation of the participants, enjoined the drivers to see their training as a golden opportunity to acquire more knowledge and skills in driving, advising the professional drivers to shift from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset that embraces positive attitudes, discipline and contentment, encouraged the trainees to always pay attention to their vehicles in order to promptly detect faults, and also included all the knowledge acquired during the exercise must be put into practice at work.

Topics treated during the training programme include Automobile Fire & Management, Car Care & Maintenance, Road Signs & Markings as well as Drivers’ Responsibilities.

The General Manager also admonished all Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State to take a cue from the Public Service Office by sending their personnel to the Drivers’ Institute for training, appreciating the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola for the opportunity given to the participants to acquire more knowledge
