The state government of Kano has slashed the salaries of political office owners in its state by 50%.

Due to the dwindling resources, the state government has slashed the political office holders in Kano.

The information was passed by the state commissioner of information, Mallam Muhammed Garba on Tuesday, April 6.

The offices that were affected include: the governor, deputy governor and all public office holders in the state like the commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and others.

The chairmen, vice-chairmen, elected councilors, supervisory councilors, advisers and secretaries are those affected at the local government level.
