President Muhammadu Buhari will perform public presentation of the Census Project Document and declare open the National Stakeholders’ Summit on the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
The event will hold tomorrow at State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
Buhari is also expected to deliver the keynote address.
The summit is being organised by the National Population Commission (NPC) with support from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Director, Public Affairs of the NPC, Dr. Isiaka Yahaya, in a statement in Abuja, said the objective of the summit is to broaden national support base for successful conduct of the census.
Goodwill messages will be delivered by Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Nigeria, Mr. Mathias Schmale.
Invited guests are expected to arrive the venue, latest 8:30 a.m., for rapid COVID-19 test and be seated by 9:30 a.m.
